On this day in 1899 the song "My Wild Irish Rose" by George J. Gaskin was number one in this country. [The number one song today is "I kissed a Girl". Sorry I've never heard it]

Weather on this date last year 2007 Buenos Aires, Argentina had it's first snow fall in over 89 years [Here in my corner of the world, the heat has finally broken. Last night's heavy rain have washed everything clean, the sun shining bright, we have a light breezy. All in all it feels rather like an early Autumn day.]

[today a man was being held by the U.S. Secret Service in Burlington for trying to pass counterfeit money, and 1000+ people were in Randolph to morn the passing of 12 year old Brooke Bennett who was killed by her Uncle 2 weeks ago]
